The beginning of a wonderful Real Estate partnership

While one woman on a cold October day in Washington was racing to the hospital to give birth to her baby boy, another woman in North Carolina was aching to hold her first child who would come just 6 days later. These two children, born only 6 days apart on different sides of the country, would meet at college in Washington, fall in love and begin the adventure of a lifetime.

Phillip was born into the home of a hard working wheat farmer in Eastern Washington. His father wooed his mother from the airplane factories of Detroit, Michigan after WWII, to Washington where Walt and Ruth would spend a lifetime together. Phillip, the youngest of 3 children, spent most of his life in the country helping his family grow wheat, while dreaming of becoming an Air Force pilot. If only his mother knew how many imaginary airplanes went up in flames in his bedroom!

His bride to be was the daughter of Italian immigrants in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. Anna's father Luigi, born in Brooklyn, NY, went to Naples, Italy to ask Giovanna, Anna's mother to marry him. Ten days later they said "I do." Luigi brought his young bride to the US where she gave him 4 beautiful daughters and followed him around the country as he took construction jobs to keep his family fed. After a series of moves during Anna's childhood, her family settled in Eastern Washington.

Phillip and Anna met while attending college at Central Washington University as Air Force ROTC cadets. Some would say romances blossom, but innocent bystanders described theirs as an explosion! Once they knew they wanted to marry, they were wed in Anna's home town of Pasco, WA, their senior year. Armed with degrees, they began their 20 years in the Air Force the next year. Phillip finally began the fulfillment of his dream; family, and flying. In 1985 he completed his training in Arizona as an F-16 fighter pilot. When they left for Shaw AFB in South Carolina, Phillip and Anna were expecting their first child, Sarah.

The next 20 years were filled with excitement and challenge! Though Anna separated from the service to raise their growing family, Phillip became an instructor pilot, spending the rest of his career teaching young men and women to become the best trained pilots in the world. He and Anna traveled from Texas to Alaska and back. They know the excitement of arriving in a new place and the challenges of obtaining suitable temporary quarters while finding a place to live.

Nearing the end of their 20 years in the service, Phillip and Anna requested to return to the oasis community of Del Rio, TX. Here, Phillip retired from the service, prepared to turn a new leaf in their lives. They started purchasing homes to rent to people who were in need of temporary housing. Thus the seeds of Ceniza 7 Properties was born.

Texas Corporate Rental is Born

Within 3 years, they purchased their 1st fourplex. Prompted by a local businessman to provide furnished housing, they outfitted an apartment with furniture, then two. These were the beginnings of TexasCorporateRental.

Phillip's background in the military brings to the company a rigorous adherence to excellence. Anna grew up in a home given to hospitality. As a child she remembers setting the table with the best china to welcome guests. As you can see they provide far more than clean, quality apartments. This drive for excellence and hospitable spirit motivates Anna and Phillip to provide a gracious welcome to all of their guests. Anna brings to each guest her own gracious hospitality and desire to make people feel at home.
